​D&D Engineered Components and Assemblies, Inc. was established in 1981 by Don Hild as Hild Product Sales, Inc.  Don's "The Best Never Rest" mantra soon resulted in the need to expand the company. By 1989, Dave Greive and Don Kohntopp had joined the firm and the "$25M by '95" goal was established.  Working with their strong lineup of manufacturers, the goal was surpassed in 1994.  Three of the original seven principals from the 1980's remain as a key part of the D&D line card in 2016.      

Dave and Don purchased the business in 2000 and renamed the organization D&D Engineered Components and Assemblies, Inc.  D&D continued to grow and change as the challenges of operating in a global market became ever more evident.  In 2006, Jay Schermond joined the firm.  Jay helped facilitate D&D's transition into the new global marketplace, where  electronic marketing and communications were now the standard procedure in effectively dealing with existing clients and in reaching new clients.     

Today, D&D represents precision engineered component manufacturers located in Ohio, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.  Products currently offered include castings (high pressure die castings, permanent mold, ductile, grey iron, and investment), forgings, powdered metal components, machined components, tube fabrications, and molded & extruded plastic components.  D&D also has a global reach through trusted partners whose relationships have developed over the last 20+ years. 

D&D focuses on helping our clients achieve the most economical solutions for their outsourcing needs by providing experienced, knowledgeable and professional sales representation through a complete understanding of the customers' and principals' concerns and challenges, such that long-term relationships result.
